Out on our first visit to Turkey and we love it. At 59 and 53 we are seriously looking to move out. No family in the UK to hold us back. Been loving you channel since booking. At this time you can still find 2 bed small apartments ten minutes from airport for £69k leaving a lot for a pension pot. Plus can claim occupational pensions and later state pensions. It’s almost a no brainer.

Is there any option in Turkish airports to buy water and snacks at normal prices like you do in the cities? Because in Bangkok airport, they have 7-Eleven stores where you can buy water and snacks without breaking the bank.

I have been living in Izmir for 30 years. A city can only be promoted this well. Really great presentation, you are very professional. There are places like Ödemiş Gölcük, Seferihisar Teos and Bergama Kozak, Dikili Çandarlı and Diki Bademli, but it is natural that you do not know everywhere :)

I live in Ankara, and clicked the video thinking "what on earth they could show about Ankara for a half an hour-long video?"... Impressive quality, and editing of content! Very much appreciate that, for a moment made me imagine as if I am living in a different city :) Simit is one of the rare top-level things in Ankara, unfortunately, you'd tried simit in a very wrong place.

Prices are about three times as high in Canada. Local people in both places I'm sure struggle with the prices.

(another lesser point is the letter ü is not available in the English language) I don't think we have the right or jurisdiction to demand changes in other languages. Do English people demand Turks to call theil land "England" in Turkish? No, we call it "İngiltere" (yes borrowed from French but that is not the point), which is what we have called it in our language for centuries. And their capital we call "Londra", not "London". So now the English speakers around the world, who have called this land "Turkey" before the Republic of Turkey, even before turkey (bird) was discovered in America, have to entertain some nationalist insecurities? I am sorry, but as a citizen of Republic of Turkey, I find this affair, in which our country appears as an immature jerk to the rest of the world, very disgraceful. So I'll keep calling it Turkey in English, Türkçe'de Türkiye, la Turquie en Français, la Turquia en Español, etc.

The well established kings of capitalism are continuing to infiltrate the vulnerable inhabited gold mines of the known universe... very sad to see this branding proliferation occurring... at a time when their own cultural turf is sinking. I would rarely consider patronizing these places as a first choice, except maybe when it amounts to a quick convenient stop along the highway and there's confidence of a relatively clean western style restroom being available.

Been going for last 10 years and this year the restaurant prices in Marmaris especially are clearly based on greed and half of the time it looks like they make up the prices as they go along, more inland away from the busy areas the prices are reasonable so it's clear as day they target the tourists. Unfortunately, it'll lead to people going elsewhere as Bulgaria, Egypt, Morocco and even Spain are cheaper
